Lightboxes allow visitors to your site to mark a selection of images then share, download, or create a PDF of the selection. All lightboxes have a unique URL (website address) so you can send lightboxes of your work to clients and even use hidden images that will only be visible on the unique URL.
NOTE: The unique URL for the lightbox will last for 1 year then the link will no longer work.
Here's how you setup lightboxes on your website:
To activate the Lightbox feature you must first create a new menu item with nothing in it (call it lightbox or whatever works for you). Then double click the menu item to reveal SETTINGS and scroll down till you see LIGHTBOX GALLERY and turn that ON.
Once activated all your images in the gallery format (large images) and thumbnail format will have "+ Lightbox" buttons.
New Feature Just Added: User Enabled Lightboxes. Next to the setting where you turn the lightbox ON you can also allow website viewers the ability to turn on lightboxes when they visit your site.
Once you turn this on, visitors to your site will not see the lightbox buttons on your images until they visit the Lightbox menu item and choose to turn them on.
Allows you to use the lightbox feature but maintain a clean looking site for visitors.
These buttons can be fully customized or removed entirely under DESIGNS then DESKTOP LAYOUT where you will find the new tab LIGHTBOX.
Once images are added to the Lightbox by pressing the add button on the gallery image or thumbnail they will appear in the newly created menu item (Lightbox or whatever works for you) and now have a button to remove them from the lightbox and a button to download them. You can limit the download button to sharing, creating a PDF, downloading the images, or a combination of all three.
The cover page on the PDF comes from your PDF Generator settings here: https://support.aphotofolio.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001613193-Admin-PDF-Builder
NOTE: You can customize how the images appear in the lightbox using the override settings for that menu item: Open MEDIA LIBRARY and double click the menu item the adjust the image or thumbnail overrides.
