If you’ve ever used our “unified page scroll” setting that allows you to create galleries where things scroll up and down you can think of max scroll as the next level of this behavior. It allows you to create an entire site where everything scrolls horizontally and vertically. With max scroll you can scroll through your entire menu! But, unlike other scrolling sites ours incorporates all the settings available in the entire site. Scroll to a section of thumbs or a gallery of full screen images or videos or text pages or a contact page… you get the idea. It’s unlimited.
Here's how it works:
1. In the ADMIN tab open the DESIGNS panel (chose the staging site if you don't want to make changes to your live site) select Desktop Layout to launch the LAYOUT panel.
2. Under WEBSITE CONTAINER and Site Display Behavior you will see the option for Max Scroll, select it.
3. Keep in mind that a max scrolling site works best when the menu items don't have sub items. But, there's no limitations, you'll just have an easier time understanding what's happening at first.
Once you've got your website scrolling you can consider applying these new features that work beautifully with this new architecture.
Reveal Menu:
A brand new menu that reveals and hides when you scroll! You decide when and how.
Static Cursor:
Instead of the mouse cursor to navigate full size images you can place static clickable cursors on the left and right. Lots of control for size, color and placement too.
Paginated Thumbs:
A new thumbnail option that works really well in max scroll mode.
Slideshow Overrides:
Any section can be turned into a slideshow now. Think of it as landing pages for different parts of your site.
Display Behavior Overrides:
You can force sections out of Max Scroll mode so they display as standalone pages or even overlay the whole site. Adds crazy flexibility to the software.
Logo Placement on Menu:
This works well with the reveal and overlay menus so that the logo only appears when the menu is visible. Ultra clean image viewing!
Scroll Down Icon:
We added an arrow pointing down so your visitors know they will scroll to see more content. There are many ways to add this and adjustments for color size and position.
